During the pandemic, we did not have visitors or volunteers, and they were our primary source to generate economic resources for the animals. Now, thanks to your donation, the NATUWA team can continue feeding the fauna that we harbor in the Sanctuary. With your generous help, we can better face the situation generated by COVID-19.

SUPPORTS THE FEEDING OF NATUWA'S WILD ANIMALS
NATUWA is located in the Pitahaya, province of Puntarenas and has a 32-acre property dedicated to ecological restoration and providing sanctuary to wild animals removed from their natural spaces for anthropogenic causes.
We are legally categorized as a Wild Animal Sanctuary by the government of Costa Rica with a patent issued by the Municipality of Puntarenas. We do not receive any economic subsidies from the government. Our financial income comes from the help of volunteers and visitors who take ecological tours in our facilities.
The donations we are grateful to receive are exclusive to purchase food for 529 animals and to pay the salary of the amazing zookeepers. We give sanctuary to jaguars, tapirs, more than 200 macaws, monkeys, sloths, and other species. Since we have no visitors and volunteers due to the situation with COVID-19, we are facing a lack of economic resources to buy the food of the animals.
